How Many Times Has Your Video Been Viewed? Vidmetrix Knows.
Its unlikely that Vidmetrix will get covered in our VC investment sweeps. The San Diego-based company was spun out of Holt Labs. Holt Labs owner Bri Holt founded web analytics Dataplain.com, before founding social media analytics firm Socialmeter in 2006. He quickly sold that to Adaptive Blue. In January 2007, Holt founded Vidmeter.com, which begat Vidmetrix.
Vidmetrix will sell you data on performance pulled from 43 major video sites. Not only do you get traffic, but you get buzz reporting to help you understand consumer response to your videos which is really just user comment and blog links.
