Networking's OpVista Gets $15M More

Last year, OpVista did a big $28M round, telling us that it couldn't possibly eat another bite. But now we see that it wants and gets another $15M and has now topped off at $90M total. The latest round is led by new investor ComVentures.

OpVista Optical Network architecture turns existing network infrastructure into carrier Ethernet-ready networks. The Milpitas-based company has won deals with Cox and Time Warner Cable and says it needs money to hire sales people. It had only 4.5 sales people last year, a grossly low number when you think about how much money this company has had in the bank.
