PriceRunner Founders Launch TestFreaks. Raise $2.8M

PriceRunner founder Martin Sundquist get in touch to let us know that at a recent Web 2.0 conference “Hej 2007” in Stockholm, his Wiral Internet Group launched their stealth web project called TestFreaks.

TestFreaks aggregates data on specific products from professional reviews, user reviews, video reviews, blogs, and forums. TestFreaks is already localized for 6 markets and says it will expand to another 14 markets before the end of this year.

PriceRunner was founded in 1999 and grew to 100+ employees and over 10M monthly users in Europe. It sold to ValueClick in 2004 for $29M + $6M in incentives. Testfreaks' CEO Kristofer Arwin was also founder and CEO of Pricerunner. TestFreak's investor Northzone also invested in Pricerunner.
