Social Media Monitor Radian6 Raises $4M

radian.png
Radian6 Technologies, which plans to sell social media monitoring solutions, has raised Cdn$4M in VC funding co-led by Brightspark Ventures and BCE Capital. The startup will sell its analytical tools to PR and marketing arms of larger companies. Radian6 would seem to compete with services from TechDirt, Monitor110 and MarketClusters.

The startup is based in New Brunswick which we had the pleasure of visiting but is a very small pond indeed - think 2 flights in per day. B5 Media was also founded there so perhaps NB will become an emerging blogistan.
