Blog Post Ad Network PayPerPost Gains More Funding

A couple years back there was a wave of investments in adware companies. Several startups here were making money hand over fist so VCs felt smart about it. It ended up badly for most investors as Net users shrank the adware business with scanning aps. We understand that PayPerPost gives great presentations and are smart, driven folks, but they are forever the bad guys on the scene.
We suspect a similar fate for blog payola firms like PayPerPost. Bloggers just don't like what PayPerPost is up to. Today, the Orlando, FL-based ad network raised $7M in Series B funding. Draper Fisher Jurvetson led the deal, and was joined by fellow return backers Inflexion Partners, Village Ventures and new investor DFJ Gotham. The company previously raised a $3 million Series A round led by Inflexion.
