Bollywood Online's Tinsel Vision Raises First Round

Pre-launch Tinsel Vision says it will offer Bollywood videos on demand for $1.99 with membership pricing at $9.99. The startup is based in Washington, DC and indeed it appears that it will be targetting Indian expats who crave their Bollywood stars more than Indians themselve who can get their fix on TV. Tinsel Vision says it has received $3M in first round funding. The round was led by Innovative Entertainment, a Geneva-based holding company and subsidiary of Innovate Energy Group. TinselVision also announced it has signed a three-year deal with an-named "major Indian television network" to offer their premium content via Tinsel's online platform. Tinsel is led by CEO Chase Weir.
