Cars 'n Babes Network Car Domain Raises $3M From Angels

We came across Car Domain last year and were blown away at home much traffic it gets. It gets more than Chevrolet.com, in fact. The online community for car enthusiasts gets 3.8M monthly visitors and serves up about 75M pages a month. And it is the 19th most visited automotive Web site.

Today we learn that Car Domain raised its first round of financing at $3M from angels round. It had raised $250K in seed funding.

The 62-person company makes most of its revenue through e-commerce, reselling subwoofers, radar detectors, and the like.

The company's co-founder Alex Algard has founded InternetWhitePages.com and sold a percentage of that company for $45M in 2005.

Menlo Park's Moblyng (aka Fliptrack) has raised $5.7M in 1st-round funding from Mohr Davidow Ventures and Deep Fork Capital. Moblyng has emerged from closed beta. It tools allow users to move media out of Slide and RockYou slide shows, YouTube videos and MySpace videos with one click.
