Encryption Co. PGP Raises $27M For M&A

Palo Alto-based PGP cosed $27.3M in Series C funding led by Intel Capital and the D. E. Shaw with existing investors DCM and Venrock. Whether you know it or not, if you work at a big company you are using PGP as an encryption tool. Our assumption is that they are maturing within their niche and plan to venture out into tangential areas.
