Gomez Buys BrowserCam

Web app experience management company Gomez say it has acquired San Francisco-based BrowserCam. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

We could have used BrowserCam on several projects. Its screen capture and remote access services allows web designers, developers and QA engineers to validate the end-user experience on hundreds of possible combinations of operating systems, browser types and screen resolutions. It currently costs $20 for a one day pass to $1K for an annual pass.

Founded in 2003, BrowserCam says it has about 1000 clients.

Menlo Park's Moblyng (aka Fliptrack) has raised $5.7M in 1st-round funding from Mohr Davidow Ventures and Deep Fork Capital. Moblyng has emerged from closed beta. It tools allow users to move media out of Slide and RockYou slide shows, YouTube videos and MySpace videos with one click.
