Hong Kong's EditGrid Funded To Best Google Spreadsheets

Hong Kong-based Team and Concepts has raised $1.25M in its first round from WI Harper Group. The startup has created the EditGrid online spreadsheet. WI Harper also invested in other startups in these theme including Laszlo Systems (which makes a desktop in a browser product) and Maxthon, which make a highly customizable browser.
Development of EditGrid began in January 2006 with funding from Silicon Valley-based angel investors and a matching fund from the Hongkong government. In April 2006, EditGrid was launched as a public beta. Two months later, Google launched EditGrid's number one competitor - Google Spreadsheets.
EditGrid consistently gets better marks than GoogleSpreads (in fact it only takes a few minutes to gander at the two to see that EditGrid is far more feature rich.) EditGrid has partnership with Central Desktop, Salesforce.com, ShareMethods, StartForce and ThinkFree.
