Intel Invests In K2 For Multiplayer Game Launch

Everybody wants a piece of the next World of Warcraft and Intel is no exception. Today it invested in Irvine, CA-based K2 Networks. The startup says it serves over 10M gamers. K2 Network distributes games for free through its Free2Play model where players can choose between free, discreet play or paid monthly premium services.

K2 is launching RedStone with L&K Logic Korea and Samsung

Intel Capital was joined in this funding by new investors Greycroft Partners, Khosla Ventures and Novel TMT Ventures as well as returning investors BV Capital and mvp Capital.
