Warcraft Support Group GuildCafe Funded

Guildcafe Entertaiment says they have raised venture funding. The startup plan to become "the" crossroads for guilds, clans and gamers of all types." GuildCafe was founded by John Radoff who previously launched Legends of Future Past game, which may have been the first commercial MMORPG. He also founded Eprise, a content management company that went public on NASDAQ and was later acquired. The site currently offers your standard community mix of forums, blogs, and chat rooms for each guild. If you're a guild manager your get to:

+ Coordinate events, raids and tournaments
+ Challenge others to GVG or PVP events
+ Recruit new players or find opponents
+ Boast of your achievements

The same day, a World Of Warcraft database Wowhead was bought for $1M by Affinity Media.
