Aliph Moves 100K+ Jawbone Bluetooth Earbuds

Bluetooth earbud makers have the winds behind them. We seem to have crossed the threshold where people look at earbud wearers like StarTrek convention freaks. Moreover, more states are implementing regulations outlawing cell phone calls while driving a car, although there is often an allowance for ear bud wearers.

One of the best looking and most popular earbuds is the Jawbone which is made by Aliph. It competes with Jabra, but anecdotally we keep hearing bad word on the street about Jabra. The Jawbone is costly at $120 but it boasts of noise cancellation technology.

Aliph got a boost from a deal with Apple where its headsets are being sold alongside the iPhone at all Apple Stores (plus Apple’s online store).

Gigaom is reporting that Aliph has just raised over $5M in funding from Khosla Ventures.
