Business.com Does Biz With RR Donnely. Closing Price $350M+

business.com.png
We reported last month that Business.com was being auctioned off. Today Paidcontent is reporting that RR Donnelly stepped up and won, buying Business.com for $350M+. Business.com says that its 2007 EBIDTA came in about $15M and its online traffic grew by 50% in 2007 over 2006. Business.com was bought by Sky Dayton and Jake Winebaum in 1999 for $7.5M. Paidcontent reminds us that Business.com was a punchline to jokes when it was bought and it had some rough times. We still don't appreciate the utility of the site but they have figured out how to maximize the strong URL with cheap content. Still, it does seem that with some ambition and the domain the company could be worth more if had some user generated content.
