Checkmate: ChessPark Wins Angel Funding

West Palm Beach-based Chesspark.com has raised $1M from angels and says it now has over 100K users in its beta test. Angel investors included Jon Callaghan of True Ventures, Burnt Norton and Eaglebrook School.

The company was founded by Brian Zisk who co-founded Gotuit, a white-label video editing startup that has raised more than $20M and ClickFacts, an anti-click fraud startup. The company plans to charge players abut $10M per month to use its platform and widgets to play chess online.
