Jupiter Pays $23M For Journalism Hub MediaBistro

mediabistor.png
MediaBistro has been an inspiration for a number of business sites because it bootstrapped its way from a cocktail mixer for journalists in New York to a profitable site and job board. Today Jupiter Media announced that it will pay $23M for MediaBistro. Founded in 1993, as a mixer the company didn't launch its web site until 1996. Paid Content reports that MediaBistro started the M&A process in early 2006. We don't know yet what are MediaBistro's revenues.
