Sequoia Invests In Israel's Silent Communications

Silent Communication has raised $5M for its platform which enables subscribers to reply to incoming calls without speaking by transferring the call to chat, or responding with an SMS or text message.

Israeli-based Silent raised the funding from Sequoia Capital and prominent angel investor Meir Goldfinger.

Founded in 2004, the company previously raised $1.6M from private investors and Shenzhen Junao Technology. The company completed development of its product six months ago, and has begun marketing it in Europe.
