Chinese Facebook Clone Yoolin Acquired By Rival Zhanzuo

It's getting tough to compete with Facebook internationally it would seem. Two competitors have merged to take on MySpace in China - with Zhanzou buying Yoolin. The deal happened in June. According to China Web 2.0, Yoolin was established in June 2006 by Chinese students from Standford, UC Berkeley, Harvard and MIT, but according to Alexa data, their traffic has never increased significantly. One co-founder is Mervin Ye Zhou Mervin Ye who is an EECS PhD Candidate at UC Berkeley.
