Hypertext Buys Tech From Insightful Corporation for $3.65M

hypertext.png
HyperText Solutions bought InFact from Insightful Corporation for $3.65M in cash. Hypertext might sound like a nostalgi name and in fact it is a codename for a pre-launch semantic search product.

InFact is described as a scalable distributed architecture for natural language based document retrieval. It is a service oriented management system for said search engine, utilizing several hundred computation nodes ( Java, JINI, Linux, Agent based).

We posted on Hypertext back in March here. The company is funded by Vulcan Capital.
