PeopleJam Funded For Motivational SocNet

LA-based motivational site PeopleJam has received funding from Bob Pittman’s fund and TiVo CEO Tom Rogers, says Variety. The company sets out to: "PeopleJam will give individuals a home on the Internet where they can share their life experiences and goals and be matched with content and people providing support, guidance and inspiration to get more out of life!"
The startup is led by Robert Tercek and Matt Edelman who previously were execs at troubled-HandsOn (Mforma). Edelman also co-founded Comedy.com.
PeopleJam has lined up a lot of original content it seems signing deals with 150 self-help gurus and life coaches such as entrepreneur expert Bill Wagner; "You Go Girl" author Kim Cohen; "Dating Doctor" David Coleman; motivational speaker and former WNBA star Fran Harris; and writers Libby Gill and Judith Wright; and Judson Laipply, founder of management and production entity Let's Dance Media, whose "Evolution of Dance" video has reportedly been viewed nearly 60M times on YouTube.
Motivation social networks like PeopleJam seem to have been a late-coming niche but the space is becoming increasingly active, including a notable rollup by Gaiam.
