Stealth Mode Repairpal Funded For Broken Car Site

repairpal.png
Repairpal caught our eye because we can't recall a funded startup going after the car repair market. We think we are the first to report on the stealth mode company, which says it has raised a round of funding, although it won't say how much or from whom. The startup is run by CEO David Sturtz who also runs hedge fund Clear View Capital Management which Sturtz boasts returned an average 16.5% (net of fees) over 4 years. So perhaps Sturtz has the dough to finance this thing on his own. The company has enough money in the bank to be recruiting several tech positions in its Emeryville office.
