Cheng Wu's PeerMeta Raises $6M For Wireless Web 2.x Apps

We covered Boston-based PeerMeta back in August when we learned that it had raised an undisclosed amount of venture capital funding. Today the company added to its seed funding with $6M in Series A and says its investors are Sigma Partners and Kepha Partners. The startup is developing applications around iGoogle, Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo, etc.

PeerMeta was co-founded by Cheng Wu who was VP and GM of content networking at Cisco Systems. He was founder, chairman, and CEO of ArrowPoint Communications, which he sold to Cisco in June 2000 for $5.7B Prior to that he was with Cascade Communications which was sold to Ascend for $3.7B. His co-founder is Jo Tango of Kepha Partners.
