FanIQ Angel Funded For Fantasy Sports Network

faniq.png
FanIQ says it has won angel funding to hire more engineers for its fantasy sports fan site. It is no surprise that Founder and CEO Ty Shay has been able to attract funding in the clubby SF angel scene. Shay was CMO at Hotwire from 2000 – 2005. Slide VP Keith Rabois is on the board. The first two engineers came from Stubhub and they are hiring more. Publicly, Shay says of his investors: "They are World-class venture and angel investors whose previous investments include Facebook, Myspace and YouTube."

Founded in October 2005, the site has a rich set of features, although some question UI decisions. There was an interesting debate over on Mashable about FanIQ where some Mashable readers accused FanIQ's employees of submitting fake fan comments claiming the site is addictive.
