Power Reviews' Clever eCommerce Plan Unfolding

Here's PowerReviews business model on the back of a napkin:
+ Give away user generated reviews content to eCommerce sites for free so long as you have access to the reviews.
+ Aggregate the reviews on your own site Buzzilions.
+ Sell leads back to your eCommerce partners coming from Buzzilions.
Skeptics might have thought that eCommerce sites would have walked away from such a scheme, but give them something of value and they will take it. Power Reviews has grown to over a thousand eCommerce sites including Biggies like Staples.com and Walgreens.
Today the company announced that it has raised $15M. The Millbrae-based startup has raised $15M led by Lehman Brothers Venture Partners with return backers Menlo Ventures and Draper Richards. The announcement comes days after its competitor Baazarvoice had announced that it had raised $8.8M
