Snapvine Lets You Drop Celeb Names

Seattle's Snapvine has raised $10M in a round led by Bridgescale Partners. Snapvine had raised $2M from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, First Round Capital and Kleiner Perkins' partner Russell Siegelman. Snapvine claims millions of users who leave voice comments, songs, or just interesting audio bits for their friends, or people they'd like to befriend, on 75 different social networks. When we first covered Snapvine it seemed a little too basic. As it currently does, you can use Snapvine to create voice mail for your MySpace page. But since then they have been busy recruiting stars to create Snapvine accounts. That should bring in a lot more users and it can be harder to copy. But, as we have covered, a rival in Silicon Valley called Saynow has jumped in with a similar offering and has also brought in star-power, in fact it looks like it has more big stars than Snapvine.
