GameLayers Raises $500K For Games Over Web Browsing

gamelayers.png
O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures has invested $500K in GameLayers. Joi Ito and Richard Wolpert are also investors. The startup is developing what it calls passively-multiplayer online games. Sound intriguing? The startup layers video games over web browsing. You should be able to see it in action at PMOG.com, when that launches.

The startup is run by Justin Hall whose resume dates back to 1994 when he was an editorial assistant at Wired.com.
