Online Financial Fraud Fighter Guardian Analytics Gets $4.5M

We keep getting fake emails from financial services - PayPal - in particular that are trying to scam us. The problem is that this does make us thing twice about services like PayPal. Los Altos-based Guardian Analytics is a new startup that is selling its ability to flag such scams so that banks don't lose clients who were hit by scams. It has raised $4.5M in Series B financing from Foundation Capital. The company sells online fraud prevention software. Guardian sells its software to banks, credit unions and brokerages.
