Win $100K Using Amazon's Web Services

amazon startup.png
Amazon's Web Services unit seems to be kicking ass. Every other startup, especially those that are trying "responsible growth" are using it. But to kick it into high gear, Amazon is offering a $100K prize that comes with a shot at an investment from Amazon.

Amazon Web services has today 265K users so we imagine they are looking for global developer domination by getting aggressive with prize and investment carrots. . And some of the services are growing at a nice clip. You don't have much time to get your application in October 28.

Fast Company recently called Amazon this year's most interesting tech company thanks to Web Services. They just might be right. If hundreds of thousands of sites can manage payments what would be back-breaking hosting costs thanks to Amazon it makes it much, much easier for high end applications to come to life by bootstrapping founders.
