VCs Buy Background Check's USSearch

Highland Capital has paid an undisclosed amount for USSearch, which has been a consumer division of First Advantage Corp. USSearch allows consumers to pay for background checks such as criminal and USSearch drew 7.5M unique visitors in July, according to Comscore Media Metrix. For $40, a buyer can get bankruptcies, small claim civil judgments, tax liens and state criminal records.
