Cisco Does Its 125th Buyout. Pays $100M For Securent

securant.png
Cisco Systems is buying Securent for about $100M in cash plus assumed options. Securent sells a platform for businesses to administer, enforce, and audit access to data, communications, and applications regardless of vendor, platform, or operating system.

Securent was founded in 2004 by Rajiv Gupta who was GM, E-speak Division at Hewlett Packard. He raised funding for Securent from Greylock and Onset.

This is Cisco's 125th buyout in its history (sure seems like more than that).
