Dell Buys Desktop Management's Everdream

Dell is buying Fremont, CA-based Everdream, No financial terms were disclosed. Everdream sells software-as-a-service solutions for remote management of corporate desktops. Everdream offers everything from IT services to security and backup services to compliance. Everdream says it manages 140K desktops, which doesn't seem like a while lot.

Everdream has raised over $110M in VC funding since 1999 from Canaan Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Rho Ventures, Portage Venture Partners and New World Ventures.
