Sister site ad:bree is a fast growing business network with an engaged group of members who are online marketing pros. These stories were recently posted (site requires membership to view).
Viral Video of the week: not sure if Mountain Dew created this or just sponsored it but either way its a great viral promo for them.
+ With all the announcements at Ad:tech this week, Facebook needs to do something. So it's having a launch party at a spot called at Loft Eleven. There they will provide details on code named "Project Beacon whereby Facebook will work with third parties like Amazon, and offer users the chance to let Facebook know when they're purchasing a book.
+ Buzzlogic is a well established startup that helps clients to keep track of the bad and good buzz on the net. It searches blogs and social media sites to track and quantify who loves, hates or your product or company. At ad:tech, Buzzlogic is announcing the launch of its ad network. Well, its kind of an ad network. They don't actually serve the ads but piggyback on Google Adwords.
+ Snap are today launching an ad network based on their fast growing mouse-over preview screens. We realize that many sites that use Snap are small but it is impressive that over 2M sites use the tool.
+ *AOL is buying Quigo for $300M** according to a couple of reports. We'll remove the asterisk when the report gains confirmation. For now, we buy the story. AOL is a great fit for Quigo which specializes in white label advertising for top brands like ESPN and various Time Inc. brands.
+ Is there anybody out there that can beat Adbrite's pace of new features? It seems they are running at break-neck speed. Adbrite has now launched ads for Facebook. This might not seem like such an innovation but there are several startups that are just doing Facebook ads so it is impressive that AdBrite has jumped in so quickly.
