WeBook Funded For Group Book Authoring

webook.png
3 software engineers, 2 from Paypal and the other from Zazzle, have launched Webook in Alpha and say they have raised an undisclosed amount of funding for the venture. Here's the idea:

"WeBook.com is a place to post book ideas, write or read a section of a book, and improve your writing through feedback from writers and professionals. Because a group of people who share a passion for literature work together to improve and evaluate material on the site, only the best writing goes into the final work. Everyone who participates, including people who write, give feedback, rate and simply post ideas, will receive written credit on a printed and published book."

So its a bit like Wikipedia except that the goal is to take book projects offline. It seems like a great idea and we wish them luck. Registration is currently by invitation only.
