Adknowledge Buys Facebook Ad Network Cubics

cubics.png
You don't have to work out of an online advertising hotbed to be a player. Adknowledge has just bought Facebook ad network Cubics, which makes its home in Edmonton, Canada. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cubics says it represents over 500 application developers Less than a year old, Cubics claims to be serving over 1B impressions a month. It currently runs ads on Facebook and Friendster and plans to support Bebo and other OpenSocial networks. We scanned the Facebook developers forum and found some complaints about Cubics' poor payouts, but then again nobody seems happy with their Facebook payouts.

Cubics is the second acquisition for Adknowledge in less than a month - it just completed the acquisition of Mediarun, which operates in the UK and Australia.

There are plenty of competitors here including Social Media, Federated Media, Lookery, AceBucks as well as application companies that have launched ad neworks like VideoEgg and RockYou.
