Bear Stearns Invests In Simple Video Editing/Sharing Biz Motionbox

NYC-based Motionbox has been doing a few things well. It announced new functions that let users create flipbooks from their personal videos, as well as a subscription service offering unlimited storage. Investors have taken notice. The starup closed a $7M Series B round of funding that was led by new investor Constellation Ventures, a unit of Bear Stearns Asset Management. Also participating were Motionbox Series A investors Canaan Partners and SAS Investors. Motionbox competes with Yahoo's Jumpcut and News Corp's Photobucket among others.
