GetQuik Seeded For Online Food Ordering

getquik.png
We recently posted on the funding of Chicago-based online restaurant order service GrubHub. It didn't seem like a terribly new idea and we are actually surprised that there is no clear leader in the space.

Searching for GrubHub competitors didn't turn up GetQuik (the startup might focus on its SEO) but today we learn that GetQuik has raised $200K in seed funding. The startup does provide full disclosure that the funding is led by Sam Ryu - father of GetQuik founder Ken Ryu. Another angel funder is PR maven Mark Coker who leads Dovetail Public Relations and also writes for VentureBeat where he covered GetQuik in a round-up. The company says it is growing fast with an annualized run rate of $700K.

Sunnyvale-based GetQuik is not for everyone as it only lists restaurants in the Bay Area. We checked a few cities and didn't find overwhelming food options but most locations have a sufficient number of options.
