Telefonica Invests In Mouse Alternative GestureTek

Spanish telecom giant Telefonica has made a minority strategic investment in Sunnyvale-based GestureTek. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As an aside, the CEO of GestureTek has a name that makes you laugh (no disrespect). He is Vincent John Vincent. Maybe its because we had just seen Will Ferrell's Blades of Glory and got a kick out of the lead character's comparable name: Chazz Michael Michaels.
At any rate, Vincent John Vincent and his team at GestureTek have developed some wicked cool technology that they are initially marketing for trade show use. It reminds us of motions that you use to manage your iPhone. With GestureTek you can stand well back from a screen and motion with your hands to manage games and other affects that used to require a mouse or some other input device.
