Despised Former Jobster CEO Funded For News Startup

From 2003 to 2008 Jason Goldberg built Seattle-based startup Jobster. He was able to raise a substantial amount of funding for the company - $48M from Ignition Partners, Mayfield, Trinity Ventures and others. However, late last year Goldberg had to lay off nearly half the staff and was ousted shortly after that.

Goldberg has since relocated to New York City where he says he has raised funding for a new media company that is of course 'disruptive.' The stealth mode startup is called social|median. Goldberg has raised angel funding for the venture but says he plans to keep it small.
