Puppy Insurance Startup TruPanion Raises $22M

We have to vent about pet owners as we have been party to numerous dog poop incidents over the past couple of months that have been seriously demoralizing. It's not cool to leave your own poop on the ground so why is it cool to leave your pet's poop?
Back to the point...pet insurance startup TruPanion has raised a largish round of financing totaling $22M led by Maveron.
The idea is that you enroll your puppy or kitten (they won't ensure aged animals) and they will reimburse you for veterinarian bills up to $20K over the life of the pet.
We have heard from people who roll with "Dog Is My Co-pilot" bumper stickers that they are going poor paying for vet bills so this would seem to be a welcome offer.
