Trend Watch: Conference Bikes

A buddy at GOOG gets in touch to say that he's been invited to a bike conference at the Googleplex. The idea is similar to a party boat on a lake but clever marketers have latched on to the work should be a sandbox trend and have succeeded at getting Google and others to buy some bikes. Given that countless startups will do whatever they can to offer perks that make them feel some of the Google pixie dust, we would expect the bike conference meme to have legs.
