Airline WiFi Vendor Row44 Raises $21M

Westlake Village, CA-based Roww44 has raised $21M led by PAR Capital Management. Row 44 plans to sell WiFi equipment for commercial airliners, which uses existing commercial satellite networks for connectivity. Passengers can get Internet, TV and phone via Row 44 equipment.

The startup says it has trials in place with Alaska Airlines and Southwest Airlines. Enough said.

CEO John Guidon founded Comcore Semiconductor, which he sold to National Semiconductor for $150M in 1998.
