Grid Networks Gets Nod From Comcast

Comcast is investing an undisclosed amount of money into Grid Networks. Grid Networks is a hot deal. It developed a means to deliver DVD-quality movies and TV over the Net.

A couple months back, Cisco invested in Grid as part of the company's $9.5M VC round - it has raised $20M to date.

Grid's top rivals are Akamai, Move Networks, Limelight and Pando Networks.
