Israeli 3D Chip Maker Prime Sense Raises $20M+

Israeli games start-up Prime Sense Inc. has raised $20.4M in a 2nd round. Canaan Partners led the round with existing investors Gemini Israel Fund and Genesis Partners.

Prime Sense develops sensors for 3D games imaging. The sensor sees a user and learns and understands user movement within his or her surroundings. The device can see, track and react to user movements without change of environment or wearable equipment for the end user.

In other words, you can do cool things with your computer without having to wear dorky wires on your body. Examples are doing yoga in your home with the computer watching and getting feedback that you need to hold you but lower.
