In Tough Car Sales Market ResonseLogix Raises $8M In 1st Round

responxelogic.png
A buddy from Detroit says that the car sector is through. We can't disagree with him. Who has less of a clue, the mortgage sector who handed out NINJA loans (No Income, No Job nor Assets) or Detroit who never bothered to run the numbers to see what might happen if the price of gas rose and people stopped buying Escalades?

So it makes sense to us that a young startup that sells Internet led help to dealerships would get funding now. Sunnyvale's ResponseLogix says it has closed $8M in Series A led by GRP Partners and Shasta Ventures as well as newspaper big A. H. Belo Corporation and the Belo Corp.

The software suite provides:
+ A quote back to all Internet leads within 10 minutes.
+ If a lead goes cold, email messages to re-engage leads with the dealer.
+ Data mining.
