Sons Of North Dakota - Ntractive - Raise First Round For Hosted Small Business Suite

Ntractive, creator of Elements SBM, a hybrid web application for small business management, has closed its Series A financing. The company raised $570K through regional angel investors and RAIN Source Capital. That's not a lot of capital but enough to maintain a small team in a place like North Dakota.
Ntractive's first product features include an admin interface, home screen, and modules for calendar, email, in/out, contacts, notes, sales, service, marketing, developer, projects, images, and documents.
The first version was built for Mac OS X, and features integration with iChat, Address Book, iPhoto, etc. with version for iPhone and Windows also in the pipeline. As they explain: "So, what kind of chuckleheads would design a web service that doesn't run on Windows? Us, apparently, although when we took a look at what Elements SBM brought to the table, we realized that we didn't want to sell Windows users short by giving you a "90%" solution. So we're putting Elements SBM for Windows into the Phase II roll out."

The startup is charging a license fee that varies depending on how many users you have.
