Sprinkler System Cyber-Rain Raises First Round
We just installed a new set of sprinklers. It's surprising how cheap are the basic components these days, but we did want a timer system. So its good timing to come across Agoura Hills, CA-based Cyber Rain.
Cyber-Rain sells a smart sprinkler controller system and has just closed Series A led by Funk Ventures, Momentum Venture Management plus some angels.
Cyber-Rain says it always knows how much water to dispense since it downloads data such as precipitation, temperature and humidity from the Internet daily to adjust how much water to utilize that day.
The system sells for $349. Part of their pitch are the rebates home-owners can get water conservation. San Diego County offers a $350 rebate. Cyber-Rain appears to be a solid product. It was recognized by GetWithGreen.com as the Best Green Home Remodeling Product for 2007.
