Ad Network Turn Raises $16M More
San Mateo-based online ad network Turn Inc. has raised $15M in Series C funding. Focus Ventures was joined by return backers Norwest Venture Partners, Trident Capital and Shasta Ventures. The company had previously raised around $26M.
Turn blends contextual, audience, behavioral, and additional custom targeting methods with a choice for advertisers of CPM, CPC, and CPA pricing. We have heard good things about them from publishers. They have also done some nice work with their reports for advertisers and publishers including an index screen that allows you to see prices by categories. The company is the 16th largest ad network, says comScore, and says it served 1.9B ad impressions in July.
The startup is led by former Alta Vista CEO Jim Barnett.
