Monster Pays $72.5M For Trovix Resume Search

trovix.png
The last time we covered Trovix, the company emerged from stealth mode with $5.25M in Series A from Stanford University, 3i and USVP. (Trovix had raised a total of $18.25M)

It's been a wait, but Trovix has earned its payoff with a $72.5M buyout from job search giant Monster. Trovix implemented artificial intelligence to analyze reqs and candidate resumes and match them in ranked order. Come 2007 Trovix introduced its own job board where standard job postings and resumes and job seeker information were matched.

BTW - Monster also announced a much smaller deal - the acquisition of Armees.com, a French military site similar to Monster’s Military.com. No price there was announced. Good for Monster, the announced the deal at its earnings report and it beat expectations, while also settling a law suit hanging over its head.
