Wind Turbine Maker Wind Power Raises $37M More After Buying Northern Power.

I guess we should not be surprised that there is a global shortage for wind turbines. GE says they have a $12M backlog on wind turbine orders. So startups that can deliver would seem to be in a happy place.

Barre, VT-based Wind Power Holdings has raised $37M in Series A funding co-led by RockPort Capital Partners and Allen & Company. In August, the holding company bought Northern Power Systems.
