WebEx Rival Netviewer Raises $9M

netviewer.png
We are 110% behind the push to topple Webex and GoToMeeting. If 5% don't work it's a bust but in our experience the failure rate is much higher. We have seen a handful of startups arise to take on the standards and here comes another one with Germany's Netviewer.

Netviewer charges €29 per month. That gets you video support, desktop sharing and more. Given that there are plenty of free options out there, Netviewer is selling more to the corporate buyers who want more support and security.

T-Online Venture and the European Founders Fund have invested a total of €7M or roughly $9M in Netviewer.

Founded in 2001, Netviewer is led by Noel Eckhart who was with WebEx for some time.
